From Painting to Wearable Art: The Story Behind Rue’s Art Shop

Every design at Rue’s Art Shop starts somewhere more personal than a product catalogue: with a painting. I make art because I love what colour, shape and texture can express without needing to say a word. Turning that artwork into something you can wear lets it move beyond the wall and into everyday life.

Where the art begins

First comes the original artwork. Some pieces feel quiet and reflective; others ask to be noticed. I follow the colours and marks until the painting feels like itself, rather than designing around a trend.

From canvas to everyday

Once a painting is finished, I look for ways its details can live on clothing and accessories. A brushstroke you might miss at first can become the part you love most when you see it up close. The aim isn’t to make every item look the same. It’s to let each design keep its own character.

Made to be yours
